Oxymeli is a traditional Greek elixir made from honey and vinegar, offering a distinctive sweet-and-sour flavor. Renowned physicians and philosophers of antiquity—such as Hippocrates and Galen—recommended Oxymeli as a remedy for various ailments, including constipation, pneumonia, and pleurisy. At Ancient Greek Products S.A., we produce our own Oxymeli with absolute fidelity to Galen’s original recipe.

To bring this ancient recipe into a modern visual language, we developed a creative concept that highlights the core duality of Oxymeli: the union of honey and vinegar.
The key visual features a bunch of grapes designed to subtly echo the structure of honeycombs—symbolizing the perfect balance between the two primary ingredients. This visual metaphor not only reinforces the product’s composition but also evokes a sense of harmony and natural simplicity.
Recognizing Oxymeli’s deep historical roots, we designed a bespoke logo inspired by ancient Greek script. To further emphasize its origins, we incorporated geometric motifs drawn from classical Greek design language.
In terms of color palette, we took inspiration from the red-figure vase painting technique—one of the most iconic styles of ancient Greek art. This palette not only connects the product to its historical context but also enhances the elegance and authenticity of the visual identity.
