GNISIOS COFFEE:
We have created a traditional Greek coffee with an authentic, rich taste and intense aroma. Our goal is to evoke the atmosphere of a classic “Kafeneio” (Greek traditional coffee shop) with every sip, transporting the drinker to a place of connection, conversation, and tradition. The coffee will be released in collectible packaging, available in selected coffee shops and delicatessens.

To emphasize the authenticity of the coffee and its connection to the traditional “Kafeneio”, we designed an illustration inspired by a scene familiar to anyone who has strolled through Greek towns and villages — a timeless image seen in countless photos and postcards, reimagined with a twist.
The “kafeneio” itself takes the shape of the iconic coffee cup, while the graphic silhouette of a figure leisurely enjoying their coffee at one of the characteristic tables completes the visual story. This composition reinforces the narrative, evoking a scene that both young and old can instantly recognize and connect with.
The illustration draws on elements of Greek folk art, combining black and white details against a brown background that recalls the color of freshly ground, freshly roasted coffee. This contrast brings the design to life and highlights the cultural roots of the product.
